Ping Lang

Ping Lang

Chinese legendary player and coach, Lang Ping, returned as head coach of China women’s team in 2013 to lead the side to silver at the 2014 FIVB World Championship, gold at the 2015 World Cup and capped it all with the ultimate trophy at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. She also led the team to bronze at the latest FIVB World Championships in Japan last year. 
Lang previously coached China from 1995 to 1999, winning bronze at the 1995 World Cup and silver at both the 1996 Olympic Games and 1998 World Championship. She also coached the United States women's team, leading them to silver at the 2005 World Grand Champions Cup and the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Lang played on China's teams that won gold at the 1982 World Championship and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Lang was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2002 and was named FIVB Coach of the Year in 1996.
